Kenneth Polk joined the Criminology Department at the University of Melbourne in 1985. He was Professor of Sociology at the University of Oregon before coming to Melbourne. A major focus of recent research has been on violence and homicide, but he also has examined issues of crime prevention, juvenile justice and white collar crime. Professor Polk retired from the University of Melbourne in 2004.
