Great news for ANZSOC’s journal

Great news for ANZSOC’s journal: Australian and New Zealand Journal of Criminology

The latest impact factor ratings were released this week and we have more good news for our Society’s journal, the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Criminology.

The Impact Factor has increased this year to 1.323 and is ranked 35/69 in the Criminology and Penology listing.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate our editors, Andrew Goldsmith and Mark Halsey for their ongoing efforts in making the journal an outlet for high quality research from Australia and New Zealand and internationally. Our current editors would also want me to acknowledge the contributions of the editors who have gone before them in building the reputation of the journal.

While talking about journal metrics, this is a good time to remind members that the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Criminology is also highly ranked in the Scimago system. As we have communicated to you previously, in 2018 we had the journal classified in Law where it is Q1 and has Scimago Journal Ranking 0.527 and H Index of 36. You can check out the Scimago metrics yourself here:

Andrew and Mark welcome the ongoing submission of your high-quality manuscripts. It is only on the basis of our members’ and others’ great work being published (and cited!) that we can continue to build on the strengths of our Society’s journal.
