2024 ANZSOC Conference Call for Abstracts now open!

The 2024 ANZSOC Conference will be hosted by the University of Canterbury| Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand from December 4-6. The Conference theme is ‘Navigating variance: Intersectionality in Criminology’ and the Call for Abstracts for oral presentations and panels is now open! Abstracts can be submitted via the conference website.

The organising committee encourages symposium proposals from small groups that reflect a cross-section of academia (HDR students, early career researchers through to mid-and senior-academics) and industry professionals/ practitioners/ policy-makers (ranging from recent graduates to executive managers and directors).

Special events are also welcome including:

  • Visual displays
  • Workshops
  • Roundtable discussions
  • Book launches

The call for abstracts closes on 31 July 2024.

The conference provides a unique opportunity for academics, policy makers, practitioners and people with lived experience to connect and share updates and findings from their work. Participants will also get to hear from leading international and national experts. A stellar line-up will soon be announced.

Beyond the formal programme, the conference also offers various social events and opportunities to explore this extraordinary part of the world.
