ANZSOC 2026 Conference Registration and Carer’s Bursary streams now open

ANZSOC is pleased to offer two bursary streams to support our members to attend this year’s annual conference hosted by Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia, from December 1-3.

Bursaries available include a Conference Registration Bursary to cover up to 100% of registration costs, and a Carers’ Bursary available at up to AUD $250. Details on each bursary stream are provided via the application forms linked below.

Full-time employed academics based in the conference host city (Adelaide) can apply for a 50%  conference registration fee reduction.

Priority will be given to ANZSOC members who are confirmed presenters.

We encourage applications from First Nations delegates, lived-experience delegates, industry partners, postgraduate and undergraduate students, academics located in Aotearoa and the Pacific, and international delegates.

Carer’s bursaries of up to $250 can be put towards the cost of caring responsibilities while attending the conference. This could include, but is not limited to, child care costs, parental care support, or any other caring responsibility a delegate may have. The bursary may be used to cover travel costs, where applicable (e.g., a child or carer needs to travel with the conference delegate).

The bursaries are limited to ANZSOC members only.

Applications for bursaries will close Friday 20 November 2026 or once the bursary fund is exhausted. Applications will be assessed by a panel of three ANZSOC Committee of Management members in the order they are received until the bursary funds have been fully allocated.

The application form for the Registration Bursary is available here.
