Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology

ANZSOC Annual Awards now open!

The ANZSOC Annual Awards are now open for nominations. There are a range of annual awards for undergraduate, Honours, Masters, PhD and ECRs as well as for all other academics at various stages of their career. We are pleased to offer these award opportunities to recognise achievements in Criminology scholarship in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Awards are open to all ANZSOC Members, and from July 1, 2024, we are releasing a new tiered system of membership options based on income range, reducing the cost of membership for most. Once nominations are received, there is a one month period for membership to be purchased. Therefore, we can accept award nominations now and memberships can be secured once the new prices are released on 1st July.

Below is a list of our awards. More detail about each award can be found on  our Awards website, including eligibility and application guidance. All award applications close on 19 July, 2024. Those awarded will be provided with up to AUD$1,500 in funding to attend this year’s ANZSOC Conference, hosted by the University of Canterbury in Christchurch from 4-6 December, to receive their award amongst Criminology colleagues and peers.

There are a number of awards specifically for Aotearoa- New Zealand based scholars including, undergraduate, Honours or Masters and PhD candidates. Given the annual conference will be held in Christchurch this year, we look forward to seeing applications from our Aotearoa New Zealand-based colleagues!
